I know i haven't posted on here for a while, but at the moment i'm restless and its a distraction from the revision i should be doing. Felt compelled to write about the film i just watched, Gran Torino, the one directed produced and starring Clint Eastwood. I know i'm behind the times this film came out last year sometime if not the year before but i only got round to watching it this evening. I thought it was beautiful, especially the ending and the relationships between characters were wonderful. It really got me thinking about the neighbours that i have, especially an elderly man that has lived across my street as long as i have been alive yet i have never spoken to him. It may sound slightly ridiculous but i have always wanted to speak to him, even if it's just to say hi...i sometimes think about approaching him but i think he would be freaked out if not scared seeing a 5"9 grinning, waving girl coming towards him. But he looks like such an interesting individual with a lot of stories to tell...hm.
As you can tell i am one of those slightly crazy people that gets very sucked into film plots, books, anything fictional. Media is so inspiring!
Not that anyone follows this blog at the moment, but i'm wishing that somehow someone will come across it on the internet. i know i look like a total loser who also hardly every posts anything but it's developing...i'm sure. i think its better to have spontaneous posts like this when i'm excited about something i've just seen/watched/encountered, rather than forcing random content thats already circulating the media and the worrldd...
thats enough blah blah blahing from me. goodnight xx

I Can Talk...
Apologies for the lack of title on the last post, i'm still getting used to this whole blogging thing :/

Lets talk about musssiic.
Always loved music, bands and singers and what not, played the guitar for a few years but errm wasnt so good at that so i'd thought i would just enjoy music instead :) Recently met one of my favourite bands ever, You Me At Six , was one of the best days of my life (i know i sound very teenage fan girl here but errm i am a teenager and i do really love them :) ) they were all very nice lads indeed and the acoustic set in oxford street HMV was awesome! If you like your pop punk/rock e.g. jimmy eat world, all time low, mayday parade or paramore i would check them out.
Like a true fan (or a very, very sad person) i am still wearing my wristband

But anywhoo, my new favourite band of the moment is Two Door Cinema Club, i heard them yesterday for the first time on Q music channel and instantly went away to download a few more other tracks-they are very good. I don't want to say they're a new band, as they may have been around for a short while and i may be behind the times, but they sound fresh and unique to me with catchy guitar riffs and a mix of pop/electro/indie. Give them a try if you fancy some new tracks on your ipod or in fact any other music playing device, i think they deserve some more recognition. My most loved songs so far are I Can Talk, Cigarettes in the Theatre and Undercover Martyn, and they have an album coming out entitled Tourist History, on March 1st, 2010. :)
Check them out at http://www.myspace.com/twodoorcinemaclub

I'm going to leave you now as i am doing exactly what the title of this post describes, talking, but alot, to the extent of babbling.

**edit i'm sorry some of my pictures keep getting cut off, i need to get to grips with this blog. must seek computer nerd.
Today is a weird day, i think it's because i haven't really been outside the house, apart from a trip to Tescos, but that doesnt really count. The past few weekends i have been everywhere....even to barcelona for an art trip, but i had an amazing time. Plus, it's only...5:15 and it's like really dark outside already?! i literally can't wait for summer and sandals and t shirts...mmmm. :)
I know it's been a long time since i actually done a post but i've had a lot on at school with A levels and what not..my exams are in 2 months and i'm SO scared but arrggghhh must carry on.
Just wanted to do a post about the photographers group Hobogestapo, i somehow found a link about the group on facebook a few days ago and ever since have been admiring the images on the website...most of them are from parties and events, but they also look at fashion and culture and have a beautiful way of capturing individual moments and the atmosphere, and are generally very cool. The colours and compositions are also so appealing but still the images are not staged-the photographers preserve moments of time that we all remember or forget about after a night out... Here are a few images but you can look at all the other amazing ones on www.hobogestapo.com :)

Start of Something New
Hello! =) today, despite it being a bit late and nearly the start of tomorrow, is indeed the start of something new! This is a blog that i guess i'm starting, hopefully it turns into something wonderful like all those other fantastic fashion blogs out there-i think its so great more people, even if they're well known in the fashion industry, or not (like me) are sharing their opinions on fashion, clothes, style, art, photography...anything! it's really inspring, hopefully people feel the same towards me on here! blogs are the way forward...
so i guess if you start to like this blog you can expect to see lots of fashion, style, imagery, art, those are the things i love most-if it's not from designers, influential people, strangers, it will be from my friends and me :) hopefully people like it, we'll start with some pictures soonish!
much love xX
